Electronic Signature capture devices supplied by IDSL are now installed at over 100 waste management and recycling sites across the UK where they are helping to remove the UK’s growing paper mountain.

Units are used by Operators of the Waste Sites to capture customers (drivers) signatures when they arrive to dispose of municipal and private waste. This satisfies the Environment Agencies legal obligations on duty of care handover, and removes the previously costly and wasteful three or four part forms required.

The electronic signatures captured are available to display anywhere across the organisations’ network, and can also be sent (in electronic format i.e. CD/DVD) to customers for their records.

All in all, the systems are removing at least 3 tonnes of paper from Waste Streams every year.
